SPIRIT | MATTER
2017--2025 (Selected Works)
Although the terms "spirit" and "matter" may broadly encapsulate the essence of the works I am about to present, I must admit that at this critical juncture, articulating my architectural perspective—and the spaces shaped through my studies—remains a challenge. As both scientists and theologians have noted, the spirit often resists description through language or visual representation.
Yet the architect's wisdom lies precisely in this tension: to use architecture as a vessel through which aesthetic and philosophical reflection is infused into lifeless matter, imbuing it with a spiritual dimension.
According to Jacques Lacan’s Mirror Theory, the way one perceives tangible forms cannot be fully grasped by others. This elusiveness is also the allure of architectural space. Here, I attempt to construct an ideal world of my own—one that seeks to resonate with the spiritual realm embodied by material form, while fully aware that such resonance is neither simple nor guaranteed.
A building, like a book, invites reading—but always withholds full comprehension. It remains an open narrative, never entirely understood.
